During the first stage greeting of 3D spin-off of The Ring franchise, “Sadako 3D” in Tokyo last May 12th, it has been announced that the film will be released throughout Asia.

The film is set to premier on in South Korea, Hong Kong, and Singapore. The cast was delighted to hear this good news that even Sadako approached actress Satomi Ishihara and gave her a hug.

“Sadako 3D” is slated to play on over 200 screens in South Korea starting June 14th. Release dates in Hong Kong and Singapore are yet to be announced.

In “Sadako 3D,” mysterious deaths have been rampant as a result of watching a live broadcast of a suicide uploaded on a video sharing site. The distribution of the video clip later leads to the resurrection of the quasi-oceanic demigod Sadako.

The movie stars Satomi Ishihara (Waterboys 2), Koji Seto (Kamen Rider Kiva), and Yusuke Yamamoto (Kabuto). Young actress Ai Hashimotohad also made an appearance as Sadako.
